Here is the instruction card, one for Japan, one for U.S.:Īnd here is a scan of the control panel stickers and instruction sheet. Here is the flyer image that *could* be used as Side art or Kickplate art: Here is the instruction card that was either alongside the monitor or under the control panel (like Nintendos): Here is someone's homemade bezel (really nice, but kinda noisy) Therefore, like Arkanoid, no two control panels, let alone cabinet configurations, will look the same on Bubble Bobble. Since it was a conversion game, that's why they didn't make dedicated bezels and other artwork, just stickers to adorn your converted game. I think only once have I see the real new old stock ones available. I have occassionally seen these listed on eBay but usually they are crappy inkjets taken from these same (free) scans. However there *was* a joystick/button underlay peel-n-stick tab set that let you label the buttons.Īlso, for the bezel, there was no officialy bezel made, just two things that could be taped behind a clear piece of plexiglass - One was the scoring table for the various baddies, and the other was the rules of the game.Īll 3 of these pieces (rules, baddies, control stickers) can be downloaded from the arcadeartwork site online that has pretty good scans. If, at least, one player gained a ranking, you are taken to the high score screen to enter your initials, after this, you are taken to the screen that ranks how much levels you completed, after this, a white "GAME OVER" text appears while the Game Over theme plays, going to the attract mode after this. If one of the two players loses their final life, you are given an option to continue by inserting a coin.Īfter losing your final life in single-player mode or if the final player left loses their last life, you are taken to a screen that ranks how much levels you completed, after this, a white "GAME OVER" text appears while the Game Over theme plays, it then goes back to the attract screen. Game Over screen to the original arcade version. The game became a success and got ported to numerous consoles and computers.
